GO Transit Station

The GO Transit Station project called for "enlarge, improve, renew and increase such Railway Station, Buildings, Structures, Tracks, Sidings, Connections, Yards, Equipment, Terminal and other facilities in such manner and to such extent as to implement a new commuter terminal".

The project included the design and implementation of a new GO concourse at the lower level within Union Station, two GO waiting areas with ticket booths, access via an intermediate concourse level to the pods (holding area for access to the tracks).

La Tour McGill is a 36-storey office tower on one of the most prominent boulevards in the heart of Montreal. The tower’s stepped pinnacle is distinctive in Montreal’s skyline.

The project presented the difficult task of co-ordination with the existing flanking buildings and the rear of the Centre Eaton. The base of the tower was inserted into the existing Centre Eaton and cantilevered over the existing heritage building to the right of the facade.

 

While co-ordination of design and construction was challenging for this innovative solution, the project was completed on time and on budget.

Royal Bank Plaza
Lobbies Renovation and Addition,

Royal Bank Plaza wanted to renovate the interior spaces while maintaining integrity to the original design.

 

The scope of the design included the complete refurbishing of the two lobbies and the addition of a mezzanine at the second floor between the two towers to increase office space.

​

When the building was first erected, the budget did not allow for elegant finishes; consequently, painted gypsum board had been applied throughout. The renovation of the lobbies included upgrading the finishes to match the architectural vocabulary and elegance of the exterior forms and finishes.
